So what's the solution?
Isn't the Urine also destructive, more so after it converts to Ammonia?
My question isn't just about urine treatment but the whole priest spray in the swiping of left to right with our two foot hydroforce lances..

On your next job after pretty spraying a furnished room you may want to go touch the legs and skirts of the furnishings to see what you've created or left behind rather...

Maybe the answer are those colars we put around our dogs after surgery

Screw that customer!

Hypocrite for certain. If they cared so much about their own furnishings, the animal would’ve never lifted their leg on the carpet or furniture. People care more about their animals today than they do their own self respect.

But it was probably just another carpet cleaner envious and jealous of Mark’s success which needs to be addressed publicly

Edit: oops. I see that it’s a video comment and not an actual review. I still agree with my statement though.

if I need to prespray right up to a piece of furniture that Im not moving, I will still tab it just to be sure.
Paul,

I appreciate your effort!

But if the customer is elderly and has hard time removing blocks and tabs and

just want the traffic areas clean?

Do you go back and remove them?

Or just wipe off the legs and baseboards.

Getting old isnt easy. Maybe use one of those grippy handles with a towel if you cant bend over.

It sounds like a communication and expectation problem.

I know you didn’t ask me the question, but in my experience it is rare that an elderly person has no way to remove the blocks. They usually have kids that visit frequently or a cleaning lady that comes once a month that can remove the blocks.

If they really have nobody to help them, we won’t wet under the item that would otherwise need blocks. Almost always there is a compromise the customer understands and agrees to.

Like Saigers and many here, we done multiple house many times without complaints.

Obviously you don't want pre spray on wood or stainless.

But the person haggling Saiger is a jerk.

When I started out I was tabbing and blocking everything. Then the next visit they would still be there on some jobs so I adjusted how I approached it.
Antique and real wood furniture got tabbed or cleaned around due to the staining issue. Some chairs have metal sliders under them that can rust too.
I could sometimes tell when they used a different cleaner from the blocks or tabs I would find.
I try and not put everything back in place on some jobs and tell the customers to wait until its dry before moving it back to prevent that spot from staying wet too long.sometimes when tabbing they remove it and it can still be wet defeating the purpose.
Its all solved by talking to the customer and explaining your concerns.
If they want cat odors removed and my light shows pee on the wall I have to treat the wall and baseboards too. I just show them the light so they understand what im doing.
And I dont video in peoples homes. I find its not professional. Im there to clean not to make a commercial. Too many carpet cleaners trying to be youtube stars.
I usually dont even carry my phone when im working.

good question!

During the walkthrough, if a customer says "traffic" or "open areas" I still clean all the exposed carpet. So everything you see is cleaned. I use the old Prochem upholstery tool to clean along the base trim and right up along furniture I dont move. That being said, once in a great while there is soil going right up to a piece of furniture where I will need to prespray right up to it. In that case I would put a plastic or foil tab under the leg.

I never had anyone ask me to come back to remove them although I wouldnt mind doing so. I find it common that if they are elderly, their kids or someone they know have the areas prepped for me.
